Cookie policy
Updated 11 June 2026
This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages or visits — for example, that you have already made a cookie choice. Similar technologies such as local storage work in a comparable way.
Your consent
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. Optional cookies are not set unless you accept them. Essential cookies, which the site needs to work and to remember your choice, are always used. You can revisit your decision at any time:
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and to store your consent choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Measurement (optional) — if enabled, help us understand which guides are read so we can improve them. Set only with consent.
- Advertising (optional) — if and when advertising is introduced, third-party partners such as Google may set cookies to deliver and measure ads. Set only with consent.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how some websites work. Browser help pages explain the exact steps for your browser.
Third-party cookies
Optional advertising or measurement cookies are set by third parties under their own policies. Where Google advertising is used, its cookie practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. We do not control third-party cookies beyond choosing whether to enable the service and gating it behind your consent.
